18+ Inch Blue and White Art Nouveau to Art Deco Period Wine Tray or Cake Plate with Gold Metal Trim in Superb Condition

Antique porcelain and metal tray with grape motif. The blue grape design is executed on a white porcelain surface banded by a 1 3/16″ metal border with handles in a raised geometric design. The grapes and leaves have an “air brushed” look. The metal appears to be brass, and the word “Germany” is stamped on the underside of one of the handles. The following are incised on the underside of the porcelain: “1 T 31 1/2.” The 31 1/2 appears to refer to centimeters, equivalent to about 12 3/16″, which is the inner diameter of the tray. Beautifully preserved antique, going on 100 years of age–we estimate it dates from the 1920s to 1930s. Great addition to the bar cart or home bar. Fantastic display piece. See dimensions and condition description below. Â

CONDITION: Superb antique condition. A few small spots of tarnish on the metal and minor utensil marks on the porcelain–nothing that detracts. Â
