We call this “The Aloha Collection,” consisting of a vintage monkey pod and capiz shell appetizer tray, decorative pineapple tea towel made in Jamaica, two appetizer forks with wooden handles, and plastic appetizer picks in storage container. See second photo for what’s included. This collection is perfect for those upcoming summer poolside or back yard gatherings.
1. Monkeypod and capiz shell tray – underside and outer perimeter entirely covered in capiz shells with beautiful iridescence; three compartments allow for serving generous quantities of nuts, tidbits or other appetizers. Classic midcentury styling, beautiful wood grain, some very minor scratches, superb vintage condition! Not marked, but probably from the Philippines. Measures approx. 17 .75″ long x 5 7/8″ wide by 1.75″ tall; compartments are approx. 5.5″ in. in diameter.
2. Colorful pineapple motif tea towel – hand painted 100% cotton, beautiful bright colors, made in Jamaica; 29.75″ x 16.75″ (dimensions vary slightly); paper label reads “Hand wash in cold water, mild suds, no bleach, iron on reverse side, hand painted fabric, 100% cotton, Mali Fabrics, Ltd., Jamaica.” We’ve washed the tea towel per instruction; a couple of age stains remain along the long right side edge. See photos. Otherwise, in excellent preowned unused vintage condition.
3. Two appetizer forks, stainless steel with wooden (or perhaps composition) handles, marked with a double stick figure logo, 6 7/8″ long; very good used vintage condition.
4. 34 Plastic “faux ivory” appetizer picks in original container – picks 3.25″ long; container 4.75″ tall x 2.5″ diameter; excellent preowned vintage condition.
