If you love the look of verdigris/patina and worn leather, you’ll love these antique Lemaire Fabt Paris opera glasses. The brown leather case is quite worn, but intact. It does appear that one of the small lid hinges is missing the pin. It has a leather strap on the top (looks like there is something embossed on the strap, but I can’t make it out). The case closes with a metal latch. The latch button has an insect on it. The case is lined with an orange/brown silk lining.
The brass jumelles are heavily encrusted with a verdigris patina. It is possible that these were leather wrapped at one time. I found some that were and some that were not when researching. The pair of binoculars are marked Lemaire Fabt Paris on the eye lens. I would consider these decorative at this time because of the patina and age. I am only set up to ship in the contiguous U.S.
