This lovely white porcelain gravy boat with underplate is a “married piece”–we’ve paired an antique by Johnson Brothers England patented in 1902 with a vintage Homer Laughlin underplate in the “Hudson” pattern–we’ve been unable to identify the pattern of the gravy boat. Both pieces have similar design elements and gold accents. Scallops and scrolls, beaded and embossed designs embellish these classic pieces. The gravy boat measures 8.25″ long, tip to tip x 3.5″ at widest point x 4.5″ tall at the tip of the handle; it holds 8 oz of liquid. The underplate measures 8.25″ long x 4.75″ wide. It has a very faint backstamp. Both in excellent used antique to vintage condition for their age; minor loss of gold and a few tiny nicks on the underside of the underplate; one small pinhead size nick on the gravy boat. See photos.
