Fabulous antique hand-painted porcelain plate, double-stamped “LDBC Flambeau Limoges France; Hand painted; Limoges, France.” It features a fish with what looks like irises above and leaves below. The colors are muted greens and browns with gold accents along the rim. The artist’s signature appears on the lower right but is illegible. The plate itself has a scroll-and-dot embossed pattern along the edges. There is a place on the back intended for a hanger, originally perhaps string or wire. Very good antique condition with some wear (missing gold) along the edges and some scratches on the surface; also an old touch-up of a tiny chip on the edge at around 2:00 o’clock. It is noticeable only to the touch. See photos. Measures 11.75″ in diameter and 1.5″ in height. Beautiful piece for a dining room gallery wall or shelf styling; great addition to coastal décor.
