Vintage footed brass trivet featuring a version of the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, with the Old Norman French mottoes of English monarchs, “Dieu et mon droit” [God and My Right], and of the Order of the Garter, “Honi soit qui mal y pense” [Shame on him who thinks evil of it], featuring the lion and unicorn. The trivet measures 5-5/8 square x 3.25″ tall and is in excellent preowned vintage condition. Great gift for the Anglophile, riser for shelf styling, as a kettle stand, etc.

I greatly appreciate the attention and extra care when packaging up the items. How sad it would be to purchase an antique that has survived multiple generations, only to be destroyed by USPS!
