Vintage extra large wooden kitchen utensils from the 1970s for wall decor in the kitchen, eating nook or restaurant. The fork and spoon are hand carved in a Polynesian/Pacific Island motif with seated figures on the handles. There’s a hole at the top for hanging or adding a cord or length of leather. They were likely made in the Philippines and were collected by a military veteran whose career took him to various exotic locales. The utensils have a nice aged patina and will be conditioned before shipping. Regular applications of orange or lemon oil will keep the wood from drying out and preserve the finish. APPROX. DIMENSIONS: Fork: 26 1/8″ long x 4 7/8″ at widest point; spoon: 25.75″ long x 6″ at widest point
CONDITION: Very good used vintage condition with some scuffs and scratches consistent with age and having followed the previous owner on his travels. There’s a tiny surface crack on the tip of the spoon–see photos and feel free to ask question and/or request additional photos. Wood conditioner applied on a regular basis will help preserve the finish for years to come.
