Vintage Couroc Serving Tray with Inlaid Seashell Motif 18″ x 12.5″

“Couroc products are cherished gifts because of their great variety and beauty in design.  Hand inlaid by master craftsmen, shells, coins, woods and metals are fused into Couroc’s famous satin black material which is impervious to alcohol, boiling water and cigarette burns.”  Thus read the original foil labels attached to Couroc products.  The label is missing from this tray, but the label’s shadow remains, and “Couroc ® Monterey, California” is impressed on the back.  It’s likely that the portions of the design enclosed by the brass inlay are actual seashell fragments.  Use it as intended or display it on an easel.  Great addition to coastal decor or summer refresh.

CONDITION: The tray is in overall very good used vintage condition; no chips or cracks.  There is some light scuffing on the top surface; not visible unless viewed at an angle and not a detractor; however, we’ve adjusted the price accordingly–see last photos.
