Vintage “Bristol” Silver Plated Butter Dish with Glass Insert and Butter Knife

Super elegant butter dish with glass insert in the “Bristol” pattern by Poole Silver Company.  The butter dish has a lovely domed roll-top lid, a fancy “handle” and four cabriolé legs with an acanthus leaf motif; marked “EPCA [electro plated copper alloy], Bristol Silverplate by Poole.” It’s in excellent preowned vintage  condition with no damage.  We’ve given it a light cleaning with a silver cloth but haven’t polished it.  There’s a small amount of patina that can be easily removed if so desired.  It measures 7 13/16″ from hinge to hinge x 4″ front to back (excluding “handle”) x about 3 3/8″ tall.  The knife has a floral motif, is marked “Wm. Rogers IS [International Silver], and measures 6 7/8” long.  It shows scuffs and scratches consistent with age and has a bit of patina that can be easily removed if a shinier finish is desired.  See photos and use zoom.
