Rare find: antique (1920s to early 1930s) Art Deco bookends in classic black and silver. Made of cast iron, the bookends have a geometric design in an iconic Art Deco shape. The areas in top section between the silver lines have a textured (pebbled) finish. The bottom section has a stepped slope finished in black and silver. These are petite bookends, so they are meant for smaller/lighter-weight books, but they would also make stunning additions to a shelf styled with art objects and other curiosities. CONDITION: Very good used antique condition; wear–such as scuffs, scratches, some loss of paint, and minor surface rust on the bottom–consistent with age and prior use.
