This is an absolutely wonderful piece of Early American Pattern Glass! This flint glass celery vase was manufactured by Lyon & CO. from Pittsburg, PA., circa 1860’s. The original manufacturers name is “No. 3 Crystal”, also known as “Lined Panel”. This antique vase has a beautiful sparkle to it, as well as a beautiful sounding ring.
In the late 1800’s & early 1900’s celery was considered a delicacy. A celery vase was placed on the dinner table, sideboard or buffet to impress guests. Today, these wonderful vessels can be beautifully repurposed as flower vases or to hold utensils. A fabulous find & great piece of history!

Condition: Good antique condition. Some roughness & surface wear to the underside border of the base from age and use. I was able to find one small chip on a panel with criss-cross designs that is hardly noticeable but wanted to mention.
Dimensions: 8 5/8″ tall x 4″ wide at top, 4″ wide at base.
