Offering for your consideration: A 19th-century Grove & Stark Crab Blossom pattern platter. This stunning piece was made at Grove & Starks Palissy Works in Longton, Staffordshire, England during the Victorian Aesthetic movement. This lovely transferware pattern of crab apple blossoms and sweet birds in flight grace this approx 130-year-old platter.
This pattern is considered to be black transferware by Grove & Stark – the color appears as a muted grey/blue.
Dimensions: 18″ x 14.25″
Condition: There is characteristic crazing and some discoloration spots however there are No chips or cracks, which is amazing for a platter of this age.
A great addition to any transferware collection! Use as an art piece on the wall or standing on an easel. or as a lovely centerpiece
