This French Empire oil portrait is dated back to the Napoleonic era, early 1800’s. The lady is quite striking in appearance with her gaze firmly planted. Her choker adorning her neck and dressed in blue. Painted on canvas laid to wood board. Overall the painting is in shabby shape needing a good restoration or kept in her lovely moody state. Could not locate any signature and the information provided was given to me from the dealer from which I purchased the painting. The painting is sourced from France.
*She is framed in a later frame that was most likely not the original. The frame is not included in the pricing of the painting and therefore not covered should it arrive damaged. The frame is simply an added as a bonus to the purchase.
