A beautiful antique deep burgundy cast iron Balance Scale. No visible markings, research show it to be possibly English, Webb & Co. late 1800’s – early 1900’s.
Antique scale in beautiful deep burgundy color. Antique cast iron scales like this are such an iconic kitchen design item, and would look great in a traditional or European kitchen, as well as an ultra modern contemporary kitchen.
There are blemishes, marks and scuffs, and some rust on underside, which can be expected from antique cast iron. The moving parts all seem to work perfectly. Everything is part of the charm of these vintage weighing scales.
