Set in a beautiful antique frame the Mexican retablos originally began as paintings on canvas. Over time, small pieces of tin became the common medium used for these devotional pieces. This pictures San Francisco de Paula holding a crosier, while a lamb stands beside him. This is an amazing addition to any art collection.
Painter unknown but possibly a Claudio Jimenez Quispe

Painting is unframed -dents on the tin as seen in the picture and hanging hole on top- but this is 1800-1899, there are going to be some imperfections. Can be corrected with framing.

Olivia was so wonderful to deal with, she went out of her way to ship an oversized package in a timely manner. She also found the most economic way to ship. I’ve purchased several things from her and have been so pleased.
