17th Century Yorkshire Backstool

$795.00

Circa 1660-1680. A rare piece.
The carved center of the back secretly represents the head of Charles 1, and the turner acorn drops represent the acorn tree in which he hid after the battle of Worcester.
The symbolism meant support for The Crown and it’s Royalist Cause.
