Vintage Regis Plate butter or candy dish with frosted glass insert by William Suckling & Son (history below). The silver plated piece has a pierced design, two handles and bun feet. It’s marked “Regis Plate Reg., E.P.N.S. [electroplated nickel silver], Made in England, N1O46,” and hand-etched “6100+2.” The round frosted insert hast a sunburst design. Dimensions are 6″ handle to handle x 4.5″ D 1-3/8″. Both pieces in excellent preowned vintage condition with no damage.

HISTORY (from online sources): William Suckling & Son was a Birmingham-based British company that manufactured silver-plated holloware, flatware, and barware from 1895 until 1965. Founded by William Suckling, the company became known under different names, including William Suckling & Sons and Suckling Ltd., and sold its products under trade names like “BURMESE” and “REGIS PLATE.”
