Framed Crewelwork Tapestry

This wonderful piece is a hand worked crewel embroidery on an ecru ground and it has been mounted and framed so that it can be displayed. It stands just under three feet tall. This crewel work panel features a flowering tree with two birds, exotic flowers and, throughout the trailing branches. I don’t think any of the birds nor flowers were repeated and each is very unique! This piece was acquired at the estate sale of a New York City antiques dealer. It will look stunning hung in a home office or sitting room or equally as well integrated into your gallery wall. Please note there is some damage to the frame as to be expected with a piece of this age.
