Made in Germany, this aneroid barometer appears to be working. The case is made from hardwood (looks like maple) with brass trim and a ring for hanging. The face appears to be porcelain. Old English script indicating the various weather conditions. The barometer appears to be working. It measures 5″ in diameter x 1.5″ thick. You’ll have to set the current barometric pressure for your area with the black arrow by using the small silver screw on the back–do not overtighten or loosen completely. Then line up the gold arrow with the black and that should set it to begin working. A fun way for trying to predict the weather, or simply for use as wall or shelf decor. Excellent preowned vintage condition; the hanging ring has some loss of finish.
