Vintage unfinished mixed media painting featuring white flowers (Queen Anne’s Lace? Poison Hemlock?) against a moody green background. The painting was done on thin cardboard and more recently mounted onto foam core board. The mediums used appear to be oil pastels, oil paint, and watercolor, although I’m not 100% sure. A close look reveals some “ghost” outlines and white areas that may indicate a work in progress, particularly leaves and stems, where details were added but not finished. This is a large format piece measuring 30″ x 20″ and would look amazing as is on an easel or framed and displayed over the mantel; perfect for a sunroom or enclosed porch. Also a great project for an artist. Not signed; obtained from artist’s estate. I estimate it dates from the third quarter of 20th century. Very good preowned vintage condition with some surface wear consistent with age.
