Vintage Red Metal Toolbox with Tray for Holiday Decor or Farmhouse Kitchen Storage

Toolboxes aren’t just for tools, especially when they come in a delicious red color!  This mechanic’s metal toolbox with tray and double top handles is perfect for adding a splash of color to the farmhouse kitchen or an unexpected element to your holiday decor.  Use it in the kitchen to store long utensils, odds and ends like string, plastic ties, small-appliance chargers–all those things that tend to get lost in the junk drawer.  As holiday decor, fill it with colorful ornaments, mini white lights, or under the tree to contain small packages.  Line it with foil, add paper doilies and fill it with cookies for your next cookie swap.  Or use it as intended in the garage, workshop, garden shed.  So many options.  The box has two side lids that meet at the top and open downward via the two silver-color handles.  The inner tray with top handle, originally used for wrenches and sockets, has a central divider.  Made of steel and very solid.  See dimensions and condition description below.

CONDITION: Very good used vintage condition with expected scuffs, scratches, stains and rust normally found in this type of well-used utilitarian item.  Heavy and very sturdy.  The exterior paint is in remarkably good condition.  We have thoroughly cleaned the toolbox, but as seen in the photos, rust and old stains are present inside.   Depending on the intended use, the interior could be sealed with clear polyurethane spray for a more stable finish.
