Stunning pair of Moser wine glasses, hand made in the Czech Republic (previously Bohemia) since 1857 (see history below). The emerald-color class has been heavily embellished with gold-encrusted details and hand painted flowers. Each glass measures 5.25″ tall x 3.5″ in diameter at the rim x 2 7/8″ in diameter at the foot. Although the factory has been in existence for well over 170 years, we estimate these glasses date from the last quarter of the 20th century. Excellent used vintage condition; suitable for gift giving.
HISTORY (from online sources): Moser a.s. is a luxury glass manufacturer based in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic (previously Ludwig Moser & Sons in Bohemia, Austria-Hungary). The company is known for manufacturing stemware, decorative glassware (such as vases, ashtrays, candlesticks), glass gifts and various art engravings. Moser is one of the most collected of 20th century decorative glass and has been used everywhere from palaces to local restaurants. From its beginnings in 1857, as a polishing and glass engraving workshop, it developed into a lead-free glass manufacturer lasting through the 20th century and into the 21st. It is considered the most luxurious Czech brand as well as one of the world’s most famous brands of luxury crystal.  Every piece of Moser glass is hand made.
