Portable Wooden Writing Desk With Lift Top and Document Storage

What a great little writing slope! Made from high-grade pine, it has a unique construction featuring wooden hinges. Very nice joinery. There’s a slot in the back for keeping your writing implements, and the lid lifts to reveal a large open compartment for paper storage. Finished in a medium brown with a light coat of varnish. We estimate the traveling desk dates from the 1970s. Great accent piece or gift for the calligrapher or writer of “old fashioned” handwritten notes and letters.  See dimensions and condition description below. Â
DIMENSIONS:Â Â Overall: 17 3/8″ side to side x 17 7/8″ front to back x 2.25″ tall in front and 3.75″ deep in back; interior compartment dimensions: 16.5″ x 9.5″
CONDITION: Excellent used vintage condition with a few very minor scuffs on some of the corners and where the lid meets the box. NOTE: the lid makes a loud squeak while being raised.
