Set of three (3) vintage wooden candleholders, made of turned wood with a spiral design reminiscent of a close barley twist style. We estimate they date from the latter part of the 20th century. Made of hardwood and finished with a mahogany color stain, they have metal sockets with brushed silver-color lacquered finish. The undersides are covered in green felt paper. They have presence and will make a statement on the mantelpiece, the hearth, buffet, or dining table. Nice weight. See dimensions and condition description below.Â
DIMENSIONS:  Tallest: 18″tall x 6″ diameter at the base, weighs 1.5 lbs.; medium: 16″ tall x 5 7/16″ diameter at the base, weighs 1.2 lbs.; shortest: 14″ tall x 5 1/8″ diameter at the base, weighs 13 oz. The sockets are all the same size and at 1 1/8″ in diameter, larger than a standard taper. Candle adhesive may be required for stabilization, depending on the size of candles used.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition; they appear to have never been used to burn candles. There is a sliver of paper on the middle one between the wooden bobeche and the shaft; it doesn’t detract, but it can be easily removed. Very minor scuffs and nicks consistent with age. See photos and note that they appear darker in the lead photo than in person. Â
