Vintage Depression Amber Glass Bowl with Gold Encrusted and Etched Embellishments

This lovely Depression-era amber glass bowl with unique characteristics has an eight-sided rim which curves on six sides; walls that flare downward to the oval base; applied handles; and exceptional etched and gold encrusted embellishments with a nod to Art Deco and classical design elements.  In its day, it would have seen fairly regular use at a well-laid table.  Today it’s a unique serving piece for a special gathering: bridal luncheon or shower; anniversary or birthday dinner; festive holiday celebration; not to mention that it’s a great addition to a collection of Depression amber glass.  See dimensions and condition description below.  

DIMENSIONS: 12.25″ handle to handle x 8″ front to back; the base is 6″ x 6.26″wide; approx. 3.5″ tall at highest point 

CONDITION: Very good used vintage condition with no chips or cracks.  There’s loss of gold, particularly around the rim, which doesn’t detract; and a scratch on the underside as illustrated in the last image, bottom left.
