Vintage pair of brass dog bookends with green marble bases in excellent preowned vintage condition. The green marble shows veining and provides a nice backdrop for the gold-color dogs. The pups are nicely detailed with sweet facial expressions and perky tails. The brass appears to be lacquered as there is no tarnish. The undersides of the bookends are lined in green felt and are labeled “Made in Taiwan.” We estimate these date from the 1970s to early 1980. They measure 7.75″ tall x 4.75″ wide x 4″ deep and have a combined weight of 8 lbs. Great for shelf styling, addition to masculine decor, or dog-lover gift.
