Brass Altar Vase
From a now closed nunnery.
It is marked with a cross and the letter IHS, which are the first 3 letters in Jesus in Greek.
The base is marked as “silver soldered”, ” E 1959″
It stands 16″ tall and has a base diameter of 6 1/2″. The top diameter is 5 13/16″
It has a lovely patina and is certainly a unique vase for ones home!
