Moderntone Platonite Carnivalware Oval Platter

This listing is for the large oval serving plate, platter, steak plate. Made by Hazel Atlas in the wonderful Moderntone Platonite Carnivalware line. Produced 1930s-1940s. These platter/plates were most commonly used for serving steaks or large meat items. They measure 12” x 9 1/2”. Excellent vintage condition with no chips nicks or repairs. The color is bright and the glaze is wonderful. Just very little signs of stacking wear or utensil wear. It is more opaque milk glass on the back side and the color was fired on to the front side. Be sure to look up close at each photo for best description.Vintage items are sold as is and often have patina due to age, adding to the charm of the item.
