Lithographic Print of Westminster Abbey and St. Margaret’s Church London

Mid-20th century lithographic print (see close-ups) of an 18th century color engraving by Thomas Bowles first published in 1793.  The scene depicts the cobblestoned street in front of Westminster Abbey with St. Margaret’s Church in the background.  The scene is alive with activity: street vendors, children playing, women gossiping, a street beggar asking for alms, a father and son looking up at the abbey, liveried men carrying a sedan chair. A red flag with the cross of St. George flies above St. Margaret’s church.  The print is framed in a simple wooden black frame with gold edging.  The original hanging wire is present; the dust cover is a replacement.  Overall measurements are 16.5″ x 12.25″.  Excellent preowned vintage condition; there’s a small nick/flaw on the frame along the top edge on the right.
