This fantastic example of folk art was purchased from the estate of a New York City antique dealer. It’s a great example of primitive work created at the turn of the century with simple materials. There appears to be a loss of the leaves on all four corners as to be expected with a piece of this age. The wood itself has chased channels and notches finishes on the ends. The piece appears to have been professionally reframed more recently with an original hand-colored lithograph from Currier & Ives circa 1870s. Please note there are damp marks on the bottom of the lithograph itself. The title at the bottom reads “Mama’s Darlings to the left ‘Published by Currier & Ives” and to the right ‘125 Nassau St. New York’. The piece of art would make the perfect statement on its own or be integrated into your gallery wall.

Vintage Modern At It's Best!
The German WMF Tile Trivet arrived yesterday and I just love it! Such a fun and modern red and gray design and the tile is set off so nicely with the silver frame. The trivet was wrapped well and shipped quickly. Thank you!
