THE LEOPARD (Il Gattopardo), 1960, by Giuseppe di Lampedusa (Italian, 1896 – 1957); a novel chronicling the changes in Sicilian life and society during the Risorgimento [Italian reunification]; published posthumously.
THE WOMAN OF ROME, 1947, by Alberto Moravia (Italian, 1907 – 1990); a novel about the intersecting lives of many characters, chief among them a prostitute and an idealistic intellectual who, after an interrogation by Fascist officers, during which he betrays his colleagues, becomes completely disillusioned.
VALENTINO, 1887, by William Waldorf Astor (American-English, 1919 – 1887); a historical romance exploring the themes of love, power, and betrayal as Valentino navigates his way through the treacherous world of Renaissance Italy.
The books are all in very good used vintage to antique condition with expected shelf wear, a few scuffs, and minimal tears. All bindings are tight and covers firmly attached. Great addition to a library of Italian-themed books; or for shelf styling with a pop of red.

I greatly appreciate the attention and extra care when packaging up the items. How sad it would be to purchase an antique that has survived multiple generations, only to be destroyed by USPS!
