Handmade wood oval shaker box, manufactured by Old Time Wooden Ware, Frye’s Measure Mill in Wilton, New Hampshire. The mill has been water powdered since the 1850’s, and much of the products sold at the Mill, including shaker boxes like this one, are still produced using those water powdered machines. The box is made of maple, and hand bent around oval forms, and then tacked with copper nails. The box and lid are in excellent condition. The markers mark is stamped on the bottom of the inside of the box.
