A beautiful reproduction oil painting of two King Charles spaniels done after the original “Good Companions” painting by Carl Suhrlandt. It is framed in this beautiful oval guilded frame that has the utmost precious details along the edge. Professionally framed and offered by the Chelsea House and registered 5348. On the back there is sticker with details of its offering by the Chelsea House. While I have found a few of these, since they are hand-painted the face of the dogs can vary widely. I am offering a very well executed version that I feel best reflects the original.
-I bought this from a local collector here in Texas who stated that they bought it from an estate in Cheshire, Connecticut. It had been in the Connecticut family for a number of years before being sold to the collector who kept it for the past 20 years.
There are no cracks, chips or major damages of note. Some age related wear that is to be expected.
