Antique James W. Tufts Quadruple Plate Bowl with Shell Motif

Decorative silver-plated bowl by James W. Tufts of Boston, dating to the late 19th century. Made in quadruple plate, this piece features a bold raised design of scallop shells, seaweed, and beading, framed by rope-like borders. A striking example of marine-inspired Victorian design, likely used as a waste or slop bowl in a larger service set. Marked on the underside.
