American Regionalism arose during the Great Depression of the 1930’s and ended in the 1940’s
It was primarily pieces representing life in the midwest part of the USA.
In general it was conservative and relatively traditional in form.
This piece is most likely a “proof” piece

It is signed on the back, I cannot make out the signature.
