Beautiful Arts and Crafts glass light shades, obelisk shape and outfitted with piano-style hinges for mounting to a box beam. Each side features frosted glass panels with a slight green tint, gold slag glass in a diamond shape, and small rectangular accents of clear textured architectural glass. It is such a rarity to find 8 matching period shades in good condition. Additionally, this style of box beam light shade was not that common. Although I believe that the shades were originally for box beams, they could be modified and used as pendant shades. These shades will enhance any Arts and Crafts, Bungalow, Prairie Style, Mission Style home.

There are no chips or cracks on any of the shades. They would benefit from a good cleaning, as there is some oxidation on the metal. The color of the gold diamonds vary a bit due to the slag glass used, but all are a shade of gold. The shades have a piano hinge on one side and a small hole on the other side of the base. It is assumed the small hole slipped over some sort of a hook, so that the shade could be locked in place and then unlocked and tilted down to change the bulb. I do not have any additional hardware with these. You could easily use a screw to hold in place, but it would make changing the bulb a little more difficult. Close-ups of hinge and hole are provided in gallery photos.
Each shade measures approximately 9 inches tall and 7.25 x 7.25 inches wide at the base.
