Stunning seascape by American artist Oscar M. Lumby who was born in 1879. The clouds in this painting are just as mesmerizing as the crashing waves.
Painting has significant craquelure as shown in the pictures commensurate with its age. Some of the oil paint has chipped off in areas of the painting especially in the bottom left corner. The frame also has some signs of wear.
Signed but not dated.

Lovely Landscapes
